“Oh, and one more thing” I added, “please please PLEASE don’t just stick your hands in the food.  I know that some of you don’t live in the ‘best’ conditions so I understand that your not all masters in high etiquette.  That’s why I have some tongs laid out so you can transfer food to a paper plate and if you need help because of some ‘physical difficulties’, please, don’t hesitate to ask for help.”
There was a pause of silence as they waited for me to say something else, but in reality, I forgot what I was going to say next.
Reko saved my butt as she added “And also, we have some games for you to play and there is some make up in Cut’s room.”
“MY ROOM!” I gasped wide eyed, the thought of girls playing dress up with little pink princess outfits in my man cave partially sickening.
“Yes your room” Reko said sternly.  “I know you have all your guitars there, but playing simple dress up is not going to harm any of your guitars, and some of the girls might get burnt accidentally by the fire place in Paste‘s room.  Besides, you already have some make up in your room, probably to recreate some KISS fantasy.”
“I do not” I objected, but it was too late as I heard some of the girls giggle.
Reko smiled before saying “don’t worry about him, have fun, enjoy yourselves.  Let the sleep over officially begin.”
There was a cheer before everyone scattered to different parts of the room, mostly towards the kitchen.  I wanted to get angry at Reko, but I couldn’t because in reality I kind of did drop the ball there.  My thoughts were interrupted by someone giving my arm a light tug.  Looking down I saw the same girl with the stretchy skin next to me with a worried expression.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t find Noshi” she told me sounding quite worried.
“Really” I said quite surprised.  “I have a hard time seeing a big guy like him getting lost in a place like this.  When I do see him though I will tell him that your looking for him Mrs…. I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name.”
“You can call me Lalita” she said looking quite worried.
I kneeled down to her and assured her that Noshi is going to be found,  “I don’t think he could get hurt here.”  We both herd the sound of electricity arcing and turned to see a shivering pink and blue ball in front of one of the game consoles.  The item in question was actually my Xbox 360 and it was now blinking the dreaded red ring of death.
“Is everyone alright, what just happen?” I asked, scanning the living room.   My eyes then darted to the woman in the wheelchair who ran my foot over.  She was now sitting on the couch with her webbed arms folded across her chest and a grumpy disposition.   Without her blanket and sweater she showed off her dark sunset orange hair, algae green skin, and long eel like tail with matching orange membranes.  I must admit, she was beautiful in a “predator of the sea” kind of way.
She was actually the first one to respond saying, “the blue thing with the satellite dish ears was trying to put a game in and the stupid machine started to freak out.”
I watched as Chloe grew back to normal size and before I knew it I was being bombarded by a flood of “I’M SOOOO SORRY, I DIDN’T MEAN TO BREAK IT, I’M SORRY, I’M SORRY!”  I looked at the Xbox, which I bet was down for the count and looked at her with a caring smile saying, “as long as no one was hurt it’s fine.”  Though I personally didn’t like the fact that I had to go and send the Xbox in… again.
“Your too kind to me” she replied before moping into the halls.
“I knew I shouldn’t have gone to this stupid party” replied the grouchy mermaid
I turned around and handed her a white thing that resembled a remote control saying, “I beg to differ Mrs…. Oh darn it, I never got your name.”
“Lorna, not like it’s any important though” she said as she looked at the white controller oddly.  I also handed three more to Adeline (who was actually very confused about the whole ordeal in the first place), Laurie, and Lalita.
“This is actually one of my favorite games” I told them as I pushed a disk into another game console.  “All you do is pretend to drive.”
“Yah, I probably suck at this game” Lorna said to herself as she picked Bowser out of the group of Mario characters.  She didn’t see the smile I was wearing on my face as I watched them playing Mario Cart.  I knew that the quickest way to distract several people for a long period of time was to get them to play Mario Cart, and maybe some bonding time too.
With that I checked the kitchen to see how big of a mess it was and I was surprised to see that it wasn’t as bad as I originally thought it would be.

It was worse.

There were pizza boxes on the floor, a bowl of chips scattered on the island, a giant bat (that I really hope was Anem) sitting against the wall cradling her belly that looked like she swallowed a small beach ball, Lili sitting next to her in almost the same condition, and much more.
“I think you two just ate enough food to feed all the hungry children in ten countries” I said to myself.  Though neither of them seemed to hear me as they were now suffering from a food induced comatose.  I then smelled something that sent a pang of fear through my entire body, as if all the water in my body had turned to ice.

“Gas”

Anem and Lili must have accidentally knocked against the knobs of the gas stove on during there binge.  Though that wasn’t what I was thinking at first.  I was thinking, “ THIS PLACE IS GOING TO BLOW “.
With adrenaline pumping I reached out towards the stove, my entire arm turning black and my fingers stretching out and around all of stove knobs.  I yanked all of the knobs into the off position and threw open the sliding glass door to let the gas fumes escape.  That was when I realized that, not only was the stove and the sliding glass door on the opposite sides of the room and away from me, but that I didn’t even leave the entrance.
“Shit”
I turned to find that the scary woman was standing right behind me, her cigarette had fallen from her mouth and onto the ground.  I promptly stepped on it reminding her, “sorry, but there is no smoking allowed on this premises.”
“Apparently Paste was lying about you being an absent minded pervert with a thing for little girls with problems” she said as she got a good whiff of the gas.
I chuckled saying, “I take it that Paste invited you Mrs…”
“No Mrs, just call me Jack” she said, I personally felt a little disturbance in the force like if I stepped on one of her nerves.  I nodded before ordering a few more pizzas and began cleaning up the mess in the kitchen.
The doorbell rang though, Jack smiling in my direction saying “go ahead, I will clean some of this up.”
Walking towards the entrance I was able to catch the commotion of the four girls bumping into each other on the couch as they drove there carts around the track.  Even Lorna had a smile on her face, and what a smile that was, reminded me of the mouth of a deep sea Angler Fish.
Opening the door to the entrance I was faced with another woman with very orange hair but this time she had pale skin.  I was afraid that the party might have disturbed one of the neighbors but was releved when she said “Is this the party I heard about?“
Weary that she might just be a normal girl who overheard about the party I said to her “sorry, but this is invitation only.”
“Don’t give me that crap, I heard that anyone could join” she said annoyed.  Before I could think about it she grabbed my arm and I had a tentacle crawling up my sleeve.
“Alright, you can come in” I said twitching as the tentacle running down my back began to make me squeamish.
“Now that’s more like it” she said as she retracted the tentacle and shook my other hand.  “My name is Maud and don‘t you forget it.”
“Rodger” I said as she nudged me to the side of the door.  I began to see a bit of a trend in the arrival of my guests, the later they come, the meaner they get.  My heart then started to sink when I heard a car stop in front of the house.  “How mean is this one going to be” I thought as I turned to meet the next guest.  I was then surprised at what she was saying inside the car.
“Yes mom my hair is fine, I just cut it this morning… no I am not wearing the dress, it’s not that kind of party, it’s a sleep over… MOMMMMM, I told you it was an all GIRLS sleep over.”  I then heard the violent closing of a cell phone before the woman exited the car.  To my surprise it was another giant bat, but this time she was a lot older than Anem, maybe twenty.  I noticed that the hair on her head was standing on end but was quickly laying down as she got to the door.
“Is this where they are having the sleepover?” she asked me, partially oblivious that I was able to hear her conversation with her mother.
“Yes it is and my name is Cut, I am your host, and your name is?” I asked looking over her home made attire.
“Carmen, and it’s great to meet you Cut.  I hope you don’t mind” she said as she was about to light up cigarette.
I jumped and yanked the white fuse from her mouth saying, “please, no smoking, believe me, there’s more than lung cancer to worry about.”  I then clearly saw the hair on her head stand on end, though I didn’t point it out as I showed her in.
“Wow look at all these frea…” Carmen was about to say but caught herself in time.  “Sorry, I just never knew that there were so many… interesting people.”
“I will tell you this, I have seen stranger people in California” I told her with a smile.  “I mean, I remember this one time that I had to play a gig at some furry convention and everyone were in those suits that look like animals, you know, the ones you usually rent for young kid’s birthday parties.  I tell you that was the first time in my life that I… Carmen?” Just like that Carmen was up the stairs and I was just standing there talking to myself.
“YEEEEOUCH!”
I jumped at the sound of the scream.  The scream sounded like it came from the kitchen, so I quickly sprinted towards there.  I first saw Anem and Lili still leaning on the wall in there food comas, then what I thought to be a blue mouse scrambling toward me.
“GAH! A GIANT RAT!” I yelled as I saw a giant screaming rat looking creature that was larger than me.  Smelling smoke I looked around to see that the poor rat’s tail was on fire, so grabbing the retractable sink nozzle I put in a good effort to put out the fire.  That was when I started making connections, like how big this bloke of a mouse was.  It then hit me, seeing not only how big this creature was but the fact that it was wearing the same clothes.
“Noshi?” I asked as the giant rat let out a sigh of relief as his tail was put out.
He then looked at me angrily as he growled “I am NOT a rat.”
“You do have a point” I commented to his once bushy striped tail.  “I would actually guess that you were a raccoon without the little mask.”
“I am not one of those thieving little pests” Noshi exclaimed.  Though I pried his fingers off of a very shiny fork.  “Old habits die hard” he said with a nervous chuckle.
I put the fork away and asked, “alright, will someone ask me what the heck just happened here.”
“She tried to cook me!” Noshi said pointing towards Chloe, who at the moment was trying to sneak out of the room.
“Chloe, is that true?” I asked placing my hand on her shoulder.
Chloe looked at me, her ears were as far down as they could go while her eyes began to water up, she was even biting her lip, causing her little fangs to be more prominent.  She then ran from the kitchen trying to hold in her tears.
“Well, it kind of was my fault anyway” Noshi revealed.  “It was probably a bad idea to hide as a teapot.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll get her” I lied as I crossed the living room and up the stairs.  I peaked into a couple of rooms before seeing Chloe crying in Paste’s room.  I looked down each side of the hallway before poking at my brother in the back of my head.
“Hey Paste, bro” I called to him mentally.
“Is the party over already?” Paste asked
“No, but I think you might want to look at this” I told him as I gave him a mental image of Chloe.
“Cute kid, but why do you need to bring me into this?” he asked board.  “I’m a lawyer, not a councilor.”
“I think she’s your type” I mentally said with a chuckle.  “But seriously, I think you might be able to cheer her up better than I could.”
“Cut, you’re the one who handles girls, not me.  Don’t your remember Marlee?”
“Yes I remember Marlee” I thought rolling my eyes.  “That’s not the point though, I think you would do this girl more good than I could.  Besides, I think you two have a few things in common.”
“Like what?”  I then pulled up Paste’s image and Chloe’s image and put them together.  It was obvious that not only were they around the same height, but the fact that there dominant color was blue showed that there was at least a little bit of a strange resemblance.
“Alright, just don’t expect any miracles” Paste said as he began to pull my own thoughts to the back of our head.
Our form began to change as we got shorter and our clothes changed into a pressed blue suit.  Black hair changed to white and blue eyes turned to red as the transformation from Cut to Paste was complete.  Paste then stepped into his room, a warm and cozy room with a bookshelf for each wall and a nice fireplace.  Gently sobbing in a corner was Chloe, pulling her ears under her chin giving her the look that she was wearing a blue bonnet.  Nervously, Paste crept towards the sad gremlin, his mind in a bit of a panic.  What should he do, what should he say, what if he said the wrong thing, how would he rectify himself if made such a mistake.
Fortunately for Paste, Chloe made the first move and turned around to see who the visitor was.  Though it was clear that she didn’t expect to see Paste, letting out a mild yelp of fright in response.  In doing so she accidentally knocked over the wooden hat rack into the fire place.
“oh no” Chloe was only able to murmur, her voice weakened slightly by her previous crying.
Paste thankfully was quick on his feet (it must be genetic) as he grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the burning hat rack, preventing the fire from getting near the books.
“Are you alright?” Paste was able to ask, which I think is as good of first impression as any.
Chloe just looked at Paste with tear soaked eyes and began to cry.  “I’m useless” she cried looking up at Paste in a sitting position.  “I’m a… useless klutz… a destructive monster.”
“What are you talking about” Paste asked, already starting to worry about Chloe even though they just met.  “It was only an accident.”
“I’m… a gremlin, everything… bad… that happens… around me is… my… fault” she continued, gasping for air every couple of words.  Chloe was about to say something else before Paste put his finger to her mouth to silence her.
“Do you have proof that it’s your fault?” Paste asked.
“What?” Chloe gasped confused.
“Do you have any physical proof that it’s your fault?” Paste repeated himself.  “Because if you don’t then you cant make a case.”
“But”
“Shush” Paste said, “no but’s, do you or do you not have physical evidence to prove any of this?”
Chloe looked up at Paste with wide, confused, tear soaked eyes and answered him, “n-n-no”.
“Good, now would you like to have a seat?” Paste offered, motioning towards a large easy chair (which was actually so big that they advertised it as “a chair and a half”).  Chloe got up from her corner and sat in the large chair, still crying but not as violently as before.
“Who… are you” she was able to ask, finally releasing her ears from her hands.
Paste turned around to look at her and introduced himself, “my name is Paste Stanton, I am Cuttagon’s brother.”
“I knew you two were related” Chloe mumbled.  “Both of you are too nice.”
“Why are you worrying about us being too nice?” Paste asked.  “Being too nice should be our problem, not yours.”
“Still, I almost burnt your house down, all of your books” Chloe then curled up and started to weep even harder.  “I almost… destroyed… all of your…. Your books.”  She was really starting to break down, almost threatening to tear her own ears out off her head.
“Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades Chloe” Paste told her as he put his hand on her shoulder.  “Now Chloe, how about you tell me a little about yourself, I want to get to know you a little.  My brother says you’re a very nice person, just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“That’s pretty much the story of my life” Chloe grumbled between her weeping.  She was calming down, but tears were still dripping down her furry cheeks.  “Every time I turn something bad happens, it’s as if the entire world is out to get me.  I don’t even have a home, my own parents rejected me because I didn’t want to be destructive.”
“Then what do you want to be?”
“I want to create things, I want to be an author, to write beautiful fantasies that always have a good ending.”  Finally Chloe leaned back into the large chair and took a few deep breaths before rubbing her nose on the sleeve of her pink P.J.’s.
Paste leaned up against the chair, his thoughts almost audible, but he said them anyway.  “I remember something an old friend of mine once said.  He said ‘life is sometimes like digging a tunnel, no matter how far you dig you will more likely never get to see how close you are to the end.  The only way to get to the end is with blind devotion, but once you get to there, the sight is always breath taking.’  At least that’s what I can remember.”  Chloe released her ears, which surprisingly sprung all the way up in a less depressing manner.
“I have an idea, how about I help you with your writing” Paste said, walking over to the small wooden desk at the back of the room and came back with a clipboard with lined paper and a very old looking fountain pen.
Chloe looked at Paste with a hopeless stare as he gave her the pen and paper and asked him “I don’t know where to start?”
Paste moved over to the front of the chair and asked her, “would you mind if I sit next to you?”  Chloe only nodded no in response and scooted over to allow Paste to sit next to her (though I personally get confused occasionally if the person is saying “no I don‘t want to” or “no I don’t mind” which are two completely different responses).  Though the fit in that seat was a little tight, like sitting at the window and middle seat of an airplane while a really fat guy took up the last seat, but both Paste and Chloe was able to get comfortable in the “chair and a half”.
“Now, I write stories occasionally but it’s still hard to start a story from scratch” Paste wondered to himself in a ‘I am acting like I don’t know even though I do because this is a common problem and I don’t want to make it sound like your stupid’ kind of way (to say the least).  “So instead of starting from scratch how about you build off of something else.”
“You mean like a fan fiction?” Chloe asked tilting her head, gently whacking Paste in the face with her giant ear in the process.
“Not like a fan fiction, like an autobiography” Paste explained as he moved Chloe’s ear behind his head.  “Base your story on real life, maybe not your life, but on real events and then branch off that.  Like in my stories, the court cases are real but I added a few things that weren’t real.  For example, in my stories the character representing me has a dual personality disorder  in which case he is both me and my brother.”
“Oh… I think I get it” Chloe said with a nod before staring at the paper.  Though for about ten minuets there was not a single mark on the paper and Chloe was starting to wring one of her large ears (I have a hard time imagining how they were able to stay on her head for so long).
“Looks like you just hit your first writers block” Paste said with a small smile.  “No one gets it on there first try.”
Sorry but I don't have much time to put stuff down now, so remember this is just a rough copy so there are bound to be changes later. Got to go before I get caught.

Aww, way to be a crybaby Chloe. :3

I loved it; it made me smile a bunch.
I shall participate in this whole Bridgeport writing awesomeness once I fix my internet-lacking situation, just you wait!
:D
